West Side Story

Hello. It's the school's production of West Side Story on Friday and Saturday. It is going to be at the empire. Should be really good. The set looks pretty professional. I'm prop crew, so I've got a busy week.

Neil's boss has just given us a Christmas Tree and decorations which is cool. Gonna put it up at some point this week.

We've also purchased a dishwasher....hurray. No more washing up.

slobbering monkey

Monkey's are funny. We put some watermelon out for the monkey's one saturday and they went crazy. The monkey below was stuffing so much watermelon in his mouth so quickly i'm surprised he didn't choke (i'm sure he must have had bad indegestion afterwards). Click on the image to make it bigger so you can see it clearly. This monkey is such a pig, he is actually dribbling.

I imagine he couldn't believe his luck when he managed to get a piece of watermelon all for himself.

By the way, the monkey's are in our back garden. Great Saturday morning entertainment.

Kuala Lurah

The last time we went to Kuala Lurah for a booze run we took some photo's. The picture below is of the brunei border where we get our passport stamped.

The picture below shows some of the shops that sell BBQ pork (which is lovely). We pass these stalls as we go the pub.
The picture below is the pub. It's not luxurious but it's got character. It's normally pretty busy. All the tables are normally taken.

The toilets of course are less then desirable, but when you gotta go, you gotta go.
I like to have wine when we go and they always serve it in a bucket full of ice. Probably the biggest ice cubes I've ever seen.

It's a great place. It's called Lingies. Great service. Cheap booze. Great food. You just gotta put up with scanky toilets.

Mum and Clare visit Brunei

On the first day we went to see the mosque in the city centre. It boasts to be the largest mosque in South East Asia.

And afterwards we went to a nice cafe for noodles and delicious hot chocolate.

Then of course we had the luxury of the Empire Hotel for a few days which was fantastic.
It looks pretty good at night as well.
